Position Overview:
• A solid grasp of mathematical concepts and principles, with the capability to teach students aged 11 to 18 across various skill levels.
• Experience with IBMYP and IBDP curricula is advantageous, though a strong background in similar curricula (such as A-level or Senior Secondary) is equally beneficial.
• Ability to encourage inquiry and critical thinking in the mathematics classroom, promoting a comprehensive understanding of mathematical principles.
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators to create engaging and effective teaching materials and methodologies that enhance student learning experiences.
• Thrive in a team environment with dedicated educators, sharing insights and best practices to enrich the educational landscape.
• Demonstrate empathy for students’ educational journeys, valuing their viewpoints and motivating them to take charge of their mathematical learning.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and training on new curricula and teaching techniques, showcasing a commitment to ongoing improvement.
• Eager to investigate innovative teaching strategies and technologies to boost student engagement and achievement in mathematics.
• Exhibit a genuine enthusiasm for mathematics that inspires students and encourages them to appreciate the subject.
• Aim to harness the talents and aspirations of students, guiding them towards excellence in their mathematical pursuits.
General Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
• Familiarity with the MYP and fundamental aspects of the curriculum frameworks is a plus.
• Open to newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience at a recognized educational institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is essential for teaching at an ESF school.
