In Key Stage 4weoffer bothseparateand combined pathways for GCSE students and at Key Stage 5 we deliver A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as currently offering Applied Science BTEC.
The department’s results are consistently strong and continue to improve year on year with100% of students receiving grade 5 and above in separate sciences, 63% achieving grade 4 and above in combined science and 70% achieving grade 4 and above inScienceoverall.Over 75% of separate students achieved grades 9-7 across the three sciences.â¯
Alarge number ofour A level and BTECstudentsprogress intoSciencebased pathways at University such as Midwifery, Medicine, Neuroscience, Physics and Astronomy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biomedical Science.
Weare looking to recruit a fulltimeTeacher ofScience, ideally with A level experience,who will join a highly skilled,energeticand passionate team, teachingacross Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
The successful candidate will be confident to deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics content in Key Stages 3and 4and will ideally have the subject knowledge to deliver their specialism at Key Stage5. They will be astudent centredteacher who is dedicated and will buildpositive relationships with our amazing young peopleso that they caninspire a love of learning and a passion forScienceboth in and outside of the classroom.
