Curriculum Overview

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, tailored to embrace the culture, heritage, and values of Qatar. The school provides a cohesive educational journey from Early Years to Sixth Form, blending academic excellence with dedicated pastoral support and a focus on personal development.

The DBS curriculum at all stages is designed to be engaging, enriching, and challenging, merging academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Ideal candidates should possess:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.


A valid teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be paired with a subject-related bachelor’s degree).


Excellent subject knowledge, with substantial experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level curricula.


A proven track record of delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.


A strong commitment to engaging with the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
