The role involves fostering students’ musical skills, creativity, and performance confidence while contributing to the school's cultural and creative life through concerts, productions, and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across EYFS, Primary, and Secondary in line with the British curriculum.
Develop students’ musical knowledge, vocal and instrumental skills, and appreciation of diverse musical genres.
Organise and lead school choirs, bands, ensembles, and musical productions.
Prepare students for performances, concerts, and school events throughout the academic year.
Assess, record, and report on student progress in music.
Integrate music with cross-curricular themes and enrichment programmes.
Manage music resources, instruments, and rehearsal schedules effectively.
Support school events, assemblies, and cultural celebrations through music initiatives.
Contribute to extracurricular clubs and whole-school creative activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/B.Ed. or equivalent).
Proven experience teaching music across Primary and Secondary levels.
Strong instrumental and/or vocal proficiency.
Experience preparing students for performances and school productions.
Familiarity with the British curriculum (UAE experience preferred).
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for inspiring creativity and musical excellence in students.
