High School/University Counsellor

We are seeking a committed and skilled High School/University Counsellor to join our High School Division at ACS International School Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in guiding students through the university selection process.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver presentations at various meetings and parents’ evenings to inform students and their families about colleges, the admissions process, current trends, procedures, and testing requirements.
• Offer guidance on academic pathways and course selections to students and their parents throughout High School, ensuring students make informed subject choices.
• Collaborate with pathway coordinators to provide career advice in High School, helping students align their academic decisions with future career goals.
• Counsel students facing learning, physical, social, or emotional challenges through meetings initiated by teachers, parents, principals, or self-referrals from students.

Experience and Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding a master's degree.
• Certification in school counselling is essential.
• Proven experience in Secondary School/High School counselling, university, and career guidance, ideally in an international environment.
• Familiarity with IB/AP Programmes is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with exceptional communication skills.
