French Immersion Teacher (Middle Years)
About This Role
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
* A valid Manitoba Teacher's Certificate or the ability to obtain teacher certification in Manitoba.
* Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering instruction across all subjects in a middle years French Immersion environment.
* Bilingual proficiency in both French and English, showcasing strong skills in reading, writing, and speaking in both languages.
* A robust academic background along with successful prior teaching experience in French Immersion at the middle years level.
* Expertise in teaching and evaluating the provincial French Immersion curriculum.
* An understanding of the importance of learning French as a second language.
* Knowledge of the K-8 Manitoba Curriculum and the capability to engage in cross-curricular planning.
* Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively with other educators.
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated experience in differentiating instruction to meet the varied needs of all students.
* Awareness and sensitivity to the traditions and aspirations of students with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
* A commitment to delivering culturally responsive education.
* The ability to create a program that reflects a northern perspective.
