The Position
Aldar Education is on the lookout for exceptional Elementary Classroom Teachers to commence in January 2025. This opening is located at ADNOC School - Abu Dhabi Campus.

Responsibilities:
• Foster a learning environment that promotes exceptional educational practice
• Define clear teaching and learning objectives
• Design tasks that engage students and stimulate high levels of interest
• Establish challenging yet appropriate expectations
• Set clear targets that build upon prior achievements
• Recognize students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities and ensure their requirements are met through tailored instruction
• Provide structured lesson plans that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilize assessment effectively to enhance learning
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction
• Uphold discipline in line with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ and promote strong practices regarding punctuality, behavior, academic standards, and homework
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Align approaches with content, organize information, present key concepts, and utilize appropriate terminology
ii. Utilize effective questioning techniques, actively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Choose suitable learning resources and enhance study skills through library access, I.C.T., and other educational technologies
• Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and use this information to refine teaching methods
• Grade student work at least bi-weekly and set progress targets
• Use performance data to guide lesson planning, ensuring that Learning and Teaching consistently ‘adds value’
• Systematically assess and document student progress, keeping records to verify understanding and completion of work, track strengths and areas for growth, inform planning, and acknowledge student achievement levels
• Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and school protocols
• Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents
• Participate in subject development through the creation, review, and updating of curriculum plans and work schemes
• Stay current with subject knowledge via continuous professional development and professional reading
• Attend professional development workshops as necessary
• Assume additional responsibilities as designated by the Principal or Vice Principal when appropriate.

You must be a fully qualified educator with:
• A passion for teaching and nurturing students
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and at least 2 years of teaching experience in the relevant area
• Familiarity with the American curriculum
• A commitment to providing an extensive enrichment program
• Recent and consistent participation in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
