ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Berens River School serves students from Nursery through Grade 9 and has a student population of around 400. The community of Berens River, home to approximately 3,546 residents, is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg and is a four-hour drive north of Winnipeg. This picturesque lakeside town provides various community services, including a general store, Northern store, and community hall. The surrounding area offers a wealth of recreational opportunities, including fishing, hiking, and canoeing.

WHAT YOU BRING
• A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).
• Strong understanding of provincial curricula.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Familiarity with school-based technology.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset).
• Experience in a northern community (considered an asset).
