ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Skownan School serves students from Nursery to Grade 9, accommodating 130 pupils with a dedicated team of 10 teaching staff and 17 support personnel. Located in Skownan, which is approximately one and a half hours northeast of Dauphin, the community offers essential amenities such as a gas station, convenience store, restaurant, and health centre. The local economy is significantly supported by hunting, fishing, and eco-tourism activities.

WHAT YOU BRING
• A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Strong understanding of provincial curricula.
• Prior experience in teaching music, including proficiency in guitar, keyboard, and other instruments.
• Familiarity with school-based technology.
• Effective classroom management abilities.
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life is considered an asset.
• Experience in a northern community is also regarded as an asset.
