About This Role

ADNOC Schools is actively looking for exceptional Arabic Teachers for an immediate start. This position is located at ADNOC School, Madinat Zayed in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities:

- Foster a learning environment that promotes exemplary teaching practices.
- Establish clear educational objectives for teaching and learning.
- Design tasks that engage students and stimulate high levels of interest.
- Set challenging yet achievable expectations.
- Establish clear targets that build on students' prior knowledge.
- Recognize students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities and ensure their requirements are met through tailored differentiation.
- Provide structured lessons that maintain momentum, motivation, and challenge.
- Utilize assessment effectively to enhance learning.
- Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and deliver differentiated instruction.
- Uphold discipline according to the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ and promote positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework.
- Employ diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Align methods with content, organize information, present key ideas, and use suitable vocabulary.
ii. Implement effective questioning techniques, listen attentively to students, and address errors and misunderstandings.
iii. Choose appropriate learning resources and enhance study skills through library access, ICT, and other educational technologies.

- Evaluate how well learning objectives are achieved and use findings to refine teaching practices.
- Grade student work bi-weekly and establish targets for improvement.
- Use performance data to inform planning and ensure that Learning and Teaching consistently add value.
- Systematically assess and document students' progress, monitoring strengths and areas for growth, informing planning, and recognizing achievement levels.
- Assess students as required by examination boards, departmental, and school guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents.
- Participate in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
- Stay current in subject knowledge through continuous professional development and professional reading.
- Attend relevant professional development workshops.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal as needed.

You must be a fully qualified teacher with:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Arabic and a relevant teaching qualification.
- At least two years of postgraduate teaching experience.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to the holistic development of students.
- Recent and regular participation in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community.
- Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
- A positive and solution-oriented approach to work.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check.
- Preferably available locally.
