Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons that motivate and inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and foster teamwork.
- Communicate effectively at all levels within the school community.
- Cultivate positive relationships with all members of the school community.
- Partner with fellow teachers to design engaging lessons that fulfill the curriculum requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues and adapt flexibly to different situations.
- Engage with parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of all students.
- Work alongside curriculum support staff (when applicable) to aid in children's development.
Teaching and Learning:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom provisions and learning resources, creating displays that foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that accommodate the diverse needs of all students in the class.
- Inspire students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching approaches.
- Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment protocols.
- Reflect on classroom provisions, lessons taught, and progress made, adjusting the environment, planning, and curriculum as needed.
- Collaborate with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when necessary.
- Ensure that the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes are integrated throughout the curriculum.
Assessment and Data:
- Assume responsibility for the progress of a class.
- Adhere to assessment and recording requirements for students' development using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, provisioning, and interventions.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding students' progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
Behavior Management and Duties:
- Adhere to the school's behavior policy.
- Effectively manage classes using strategies that cater to students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively when needed in accordance with the school's behavioral policy.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Uphold high expectations for behavior, promoting self-control and independence among all learners.
- Execute assigned duties in line with the school's policy.
