Curriculum Overview
Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, thoughtfully adapted to honor Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school offers a continuous learning pathway from Early Years to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with robust pastoral care and a focus on personal growth.
Throughout all educational stages, the DBS curriculum is crafted to be relevant, engaging, and demanding, combining academic rigor with elements of leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Ideal candidates must possess:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A valid teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, accompanied by an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).
•
Exceptional subject expertise, with significant experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level programs.
•
A proven history of delivering exceptional teaching and learning outcomes.
•
A strong dedication to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives.

This position is set to begin in September 2026; however, staff members are expected to arrive in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
