Curriculum Overview

Doha British School implements the National Curriculum of England, thoughtfully adapted to embrace Qatar's culture, heritage, and values. This curriculum ensures a seamless educational journey from Early Years through Sixth Form, emphasizing academic excellence, strong pastoral support, and personal development.

Throughout all educational stages, the DBS curriculum is crafted to be relevant, engaging, and rigorous, merging academic challenges with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.


A valid teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).


Outstanding subject knowledge, with considerable experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level courses.


A demonstrated history of delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.


A strong dedication to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular activities.
