O Castro British International School, located in Vigo, Spain, is a vibrant, welcoming, and successful establishment with a student body exceeding 700 in both Primary and Secondary education. We adhere to the National Curriculum for England alongside the Cambridge International Curriculum for KS3 in English, Mathematics, and Science, as well as IGCSE and A Levels. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Primary Teacher to join the O Castro British School team:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons in core Primary subjects according to the British curriculum, ensuring comprehensive coverage of literacy, numeracy, science, and integrated learning.


Instruct students across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, aiding them in building solid foundational skills, confidence, and curiosity.


Consistently assess, track, and document student progress, providing constructive feedback and updates to parents and school leadership.


Participate in curriculum planning, develop high-quality teaching resources, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Primary program.


Assist with enrichment initiatives such as assemblies, themed days, school events, clubs, or educational excursions.


Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages positive behavior, well-being, and active learning.

REQUIREMENTS:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


C1/C2 proficiency in English.


Degree in Education or a related discipline.


Experience in a primary school teaching role.


Solid understanding of the British Primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies for younger learners.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
