About This Role
BASIS International School Shenzhen is on the lookout for qualified applicants to fill the role of College Admissions Counselor for the 2026-27 academic year!
In this position, you will conduct a daily college counseling workshop aimed at 12th graders, prepare college counseling reports, and coordinate the Senior Research Project (SRP). You will be responsible for organizing college admissions visits each fall, hosting family college counseling evenings, meeting individually with 10th and 11th graders throughout the school year, and guiding students in completing college admissions and financial aid applications while securing recommendations.
Moreover, you will have the opportunity to innovate new program ideas, co-facilitate college information evenings, and develop and manage college planning and career assessment software like Naviance. This role will allow you to collaborate closely with students and parents to assist them in finding the right college or university based on the student’s academic and career aspirations. The focus of this position is on ensuring students are successful and prepared for higher education in the United States and other countries.

Established in 2015, BASIS International School Shenzhen was the first school in our network. Initially housed in a renovated building, the school relocated in 2023 to a stunning new campus that accommodates over 1,600 students from Pre-K to 12th grade. Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.

Additionally, a high GPA in your field of study, strong employment references, and experience working with students and families are essential.
