About This Role
At Monroe's Nursery, we embrace the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, aligning with the British National curriculum. We prioritize delivering a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum that lays a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and understanding for children to build upon throughout their lives.
*Creating and developing visual aids and educational resources;
*Organizing and creatively utilizing learning materials and resources;
*Fostering children's curiosity and expanding their knowledge;
*Collaborating with colleagues, including teaching assistants and nursery nurses, as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate activities both indoors and outdoors;
*Monitoring, assessing, and documenting each child's developmental progress;
*Participating in in-service training opportunities;
*Sharing insights and knowledge with fellow practitioners and parents;
*Providing emotional support and care to children, ensuring they have a safe space for learning;
*Inspiring and engaging children’s learning potential, often promoting experiential learning;
*Maintaining the health and safety of both children and staff during all activities, whether inside or outside the nursery/school;
*Staying informed about curriculum updates and advancements in best practices;
*Assisting in the development of children’s personal, social, and language skills;
*Supporting the enhancement of children's foundational skills, including physical coordination, speech, and communication;
*Encouraging children’s mathematical and creative growth through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play.
Qualifications: A university degree in Early Childhood/Education or other relevant specialization, accompanied by a certified vocational qualification in early childhood care and education (level III). Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with a certified vocational qualification in early childhood care and education (Cache Level 3) and a minimum of two years of experience in child care or education.
