Become a valued member of our vibrant team at Brighton College Dubai! As we expand, we are looking for outstanding teachers to start with us in January.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Act as an ambassador for the College at all times, both within the school and throughout the United Arab Emirates.
- Teach a designated timetable, fulfill staff duties as assigned by the CLT, and actively engage in the Co-Curricular Activities program by leading at least two activities weekly.
- Prepare lessons and compile data necessary for KHDA inspections and other accreditation bodies.

Teaching and Learning:
- Inspire each student to achieve their academic potential through enthusiastic and personalized teaching, providing tailored stretch and challenge, and maintaining rigorous record keeping and follow-up.
- Adhere to all College policies regarding marking and assessment, teaching and learning, and reporting.
- Develop and share schemes of work and resources using the prescribed formats.
- Assist with covering for colleagues when needed.
- Attend all required meetings and INSET sessions.
- Prepare, invigilate, and assess internal and external tests and examinations as needed.

Professional responsibilities:
- Foster pride in the College among students by upholding high standards of dress, behavior, and commitment.
- Ensure that all communications are acted upon promptly and appropriately.
- Participate in Parents’ Evenings, Assemblies, Productions, Sporting Events, and other special occasions.
- Take responsibility for all College resources, particularly those entrusted to you, and report any damage or loss to your line manager or the facilities manager as appropriate.
- Contribute to the College website, social media, and publications when required.
- Engage in the College’s Self Evaluation and Development Plan.
- Build a close partnership with parents, initiating contact when necessary and keeping a record of interactions.
- Be present at school for the required hours after confirming the school’s operating hours.
- Carry out any reasonable professional requests made by the Head Master, Head of the Preparatory School, or a member of the CLT.

Pastoral:
- Show genuine interest in each child’s personal and home circumstances, promoting their personal and social development.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Actively promote the social, moral, and cultural values of the College community.
- Create a supportive atmosphere by being aware of and fully compliant with all College policies, including the Code of Conduct, School Rules, and the Anti-Bullying Policy.
- Familiarize yourself with all College policies on Health and Safety, and proactively ensure the safety of all community members at all times.
- Encourage exemplary behavior and a responsible attitude among all students.
- Be aware of and adhere to all policies concerning the safeguarding of children.

Person specification:
- The ideal candidate will possess the ability and experience to teach Arabic A & Arabic B from Year 2 to Year 10.
- Essential qualities include the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, presenting a warm, engaging, and approachable demeanor to parents, students, and colleagues. Reliability and respectfulness are crucial.
- Candidates should hold a university degree (dual honors preferred) and a teaching qualification from a recognized institution.
- The successful applicant will possess subject and professional qualifications acceptable to KHDA for teaching in the designated subject area.
- A distinguished teaching record, with the flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse demands of a premier school, demonstrating creativity and innovation across and beyond the curriculum.
- A strong commitment to professional development and a proactive attitude towards CPD and the College’s PDR and appraisal processes.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while exhibiting excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient and confident in using IT for classroom instruction and administrative tasks.
- Engage proactively in all aspects of college life through participation and support.
- Present a professional image that aligns with the high expectations of Brighton College.
- Candidates for this challenging and rewarding role should have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- For suitably qualified and experienced candidates, opportunities for leadership responsibilities may be available within their subject area or across subject faculties. Responsibilities may evolve as the School expands in student enrollment and curriculum.
