We are currently seeking a full-time on-site **Senior Accounts Officer** to join our team at Arcadia British School in Dubai. The Senior Accounts Officer will oversee financial statements, apply analytical skills, handle finance-related duties, deliver outstanding customer service, and maintain effective communication within the school community.

**Requirements:**

- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant position within a Finance Department
- Familiarity with general accounting office procedures, policies, and methods
- Experience in a multicultural setting is advantageous
- Proficient in MS Office and Financial Software Systems
- Strong verbal and written proficiency in English
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
- Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- Capability to multitask and manage pressure during peak times

**Main Duties & Responsibilities:**

- Month End/Closing Activities: Compile monthly profitability reports, Monthly MIS, and other relevant reports associated with month-end closing.
- Payroll: Timely preparation and processing of monthly payroll in collaboration with the HR department.
- Preparing VAT Reports: Compile necessary VAT Registers after reviewing transactions to ensure compliance with FTA requirements.
- Revenue: Ensure that revenues are accurately recognized and accounted for in accordance with IAS.
- Budgeting: Monitor forecasts and track approved annual budgets concerning student enrollment, staff counts, income, expenses, and provisions.
- Other Income: Manage accounting, recording, tracking, reporting, and safeguarding of all income.
- Reporting: Allocate expenses/incomes to the correct budget heads. Summarize and reconcile financial status by gathering information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations of all receivables in the system.
- Additional ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Head.
