Raffles American School (RAS) is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Whole School ELL Coordinator to join our Middle and High School team in the academic year 2026.
Position Overview
Raffles American School Bangkok is seeking a skilled and collaborative Whole School ELL Coordinator to lead and support the development of English Language Learning across the school.
This is a key role within a growing ELL department, focused on strengthening provision, improving consistency of practice, and supporting teachers in meeting the needs of multilingual learners. The successful candidate will work across divisions while also teaching middle school ELL (approximately 14 teaching hours).
Key Responsibilities • Lead the development and coordination of the ELL program across the whole school • Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field • Experience in an ELL leadership or coordination role • Collaborative and supportive leadership style • Competitive salary based on experience
• Work closely with ELL and classroom teachers to support effective strategies for multilingual learners
• Support the implementation and monitoring of ELL practices, ensuring consistency across grade levels
• Lead or facilitate ELL coordination meetings and professional collaboration
• Support the use of assessment tools (e.g., WIDA) to track student progress and inform instruction
• Review and support the development of ELL resources and curriculum alignment
• Teach middle school ELL classes (approximately 14 hours per week)
• Monitor student progress and support data-informed decision making
• Communicate effectively with staff, leadership, and parents regarding ELL provisionQualifications
• Teaching qualification or license
• Experience working with English language learners in a school setting
• Strong understanding of ELL best practices and language acquisition
• Strong organizational and communication skillsPreferred
• Familiarity with WIDA or similar language assessment frameworks
• Experience working in an international or multicultural school environment

We offer competitive salaries, with fully qualified and licensed teachers for full-time core subject and homeroom teacher roles. There is no additional housing stipend. Overseas candidates will be reimbursed for their flight to Thailand (guidelines will be shared by HR with the successful candidate) and provided round-trip airfare to their home country at the end of each two-year contract. Visa and work permit expenses will be reimbursed by RAS. Medical, accident, disability, and life insurance are also provided.
