We are seeking to recruit an Islamic Studies Lead Teacher to become a part of our high-caliber teaching team. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, well-qualified, and knowledgeable educator capable of teaching across all grade levels. Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education is essential.

• A qualified teacher with a minimum of 5 years of experience delivering the National Islamic Curriculum to students of varying ages.

• Exceptional practitioners who can deliver innovative lessons based on contemporary pedagogical principles and forward-thinking initiatives.

• Proficient in utilizing digital tools to enrich and make learning relevant, complementing the school's ‘Apple Distinguished School’ status.

• A collaborative professional who works effectively within their immediate team and across the wider school community.

Role Purpose:

• Provide support and guidance to students by eliminating barriers to learning, promoting effective participation, and helping them to achieve their full potential.

• Collaborate within the department to develop, implement, and assess teaching and learning strategies that maximize student outcomes in the subject area.

• Monitor and evaluate teachers’ lesson planning and respond appropriately to emerging issues and data indicators.

• Cultivate your subject area to serve as a model of excellence to others within and beyond our community, improving the quality of services for students in their learning development.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold high standards in Islamic Studies, particularly regarding student progress.

• Actively support the school’s vision, ethos, culture, and policies.

• Inspire and motivate both students and teachers to champion the vision for the Islamic Studies department.

• Foster a department culture that is positive, purposeful, and professional.

• Engage constructively in the school Appraisal process and performance management systems.

• Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people.

• Lead the strategic priorities for Islamic Studies, guiding these aspects of the school development plan and reporting findings to the Senior Leadership Team.

• Collaborate with Islamic governance and parent engagement to ensure the curriculum is relevant, assessments are attainable, and learning is engaging.
