We are seeking an experienced Design Technology Teacher to join our faculty in August 2026. The ideal candidate will collaborate with fellow experienced educators to further the school’s strategic vision and will be adept at teaching across all secondary Key Stages, including A Level.

Key responsibilities include:


Developing and sustaining a dynamic, well-rounded D&T curriculum that adheres to national standards, aligns with school objectives, and incorporates industry advancements.


Inspiring and promoting high-quality instruction through teamwork and the sharing of best practices.


Assessing and enhancing teaching standards, ensuring inclusive practices, differentiation, and effective tracking of student progress.


Overseeing budgets, updating technologies and facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing effective timetables and staffing.


Collaborating with other departments, engaging parents and the community, and representing the department at leadership and school events.

Requirements:


A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with a PGCE is essential.


A qualified DT Teacher with a minimum of 3 years' experience delivering the National Curriculum for England to A Level students.
