Academia Cotopaxi seeks Instructors for The One to provide short-term assistance within the English Language Acquisition programs. The main objective of these instructors is to deliver exceptional English instruction that actively engages students and accelerates their language proficiency. Serving as a vital resource, they help ensure students acquire the essential language skills necessary for success at Academia Cotopaxi, while also upholding the school's mission, values, and classroom standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
•
Fluent English language proficiency at C2 level or native speaker required.
•
Possession of a teaching certification (CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL, TKT, TESL).
•
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
•
Experience in facilitating active learning that appreciates the diverse contributions of each student, fostering co-constructed knowledge and concept-driven learning along with skills development.
•
Proven ability to implement positive classroom management strategies in environments that encourage student ownership, responsibility, and a sense of community.
•
A positive mindset and readiness to collaborate as a team to effectively support students.
•
A shared dedication to ensuring that students experience a welcoming class atmosphere and feel a sense of belonging in the educational space.
•
Experience in utilizing observations alongside other assessment methods to track student progress and ensure meaningful engagement for each learner.
•
Proficiency in using various technology tools for lesson delivery and documenting student learning.
•
Preferably, at least two years of experience as an ELS Instructor.
•
Comfortable collaborating with support teachers and other professionals to address the individual needs of students.
