Kumamoto International School is an accredited IB World School, offering both the Diploma Programme (DP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are in search of a qualified ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LITERATURE teacher for our PYP and MYP programs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment and should have a proven track record of delivering outstanding educational results at the Junior High and High School levels.

About Kumamoto International School:
Located in Kumamoto, on Kyushu Island in western Japan, KIS is a fully accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Our preschool division, Picasso, was established in 2003, with our primary school opening in 2018 and our junior high school launching in April 2023. We are excited about our newly constructed, expansive campus for our primary, junior high, and high school divisions, which will open in April 2025. As we continue to grow, numerous opportunities for advancement will arise as we introduce additional divisions and grade levels.

Since our inception 22 years ago with the Picasso Preschool, we have grown to a team of 60 staff members across all divisions. Our aim is to recruit exceptional talent and cultivate a strong team. Our philosophy is simple: we hire hardworking, kind individuals rather than trying to teach people to be nice and diligent. Our longest-serving Japanese staff members have been with us for 20 years, while many other teachers have also been with us for over a decade.
