About This Role

Al Rabeeh Academy is on the lookout for a dynamic, flexible, and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team in January 2025.

Established in August 2017, Al Rabeeh Academy is a stunning, purpose-built institution that is part of an expanding network of schools. Since 1979, the Al Rabeeh name has been associated with exceptional education and student care throughout the city. We are affiliated with British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), offering fantastic opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and continuous professional development.

Our bilingual private school caters to students from FS1 to Year 13, delivering both the English National Curriculum and Arabic. We are looking for candidates who are passionate team players, eager to contribute to the development of Al Rabeeh Academy, with potential for internal advancement as our academy continues to grow.

Candidates should resonate with the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which has a significant population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal applicant will be an effective communicator, adept at fostering open lines of communication with students, staff, and parents. Leadership by example and active participation in the Academy's extracurricular activities are essential.

Applicants must be fluent in English, possess a relevant degree and teaching qualification, and have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in schools following the National Curriculum of England.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proficient subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK initiatives and advancements in English
• Capability and willingness to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Experience teaching ‘A’ levels is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong classroom management abilities and excellent subject expertise
• Ability to foster creative learning and focus on developing innovative 21st-century learning environments
• Proficiency in using IT to enhance and broaden students’ learning experiences
• Experience utilizing data from internal assessments, standardized tests, and external evaluations to monitor student progress
• Essential experience in teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) students
