About This Role
Join our vibrant team at Brighton College Dubai! We are expanding and looking for outstanding teachers to come aboard in January 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent the College as an ambassador within the school and the UAE.
- Teach Music to students from FS1 to Year 4.
- Maintain a full teaching schedule, fulfill assigned duties, and lead at least two co-curricular activities each week.
- Prepare lessons and documentation for KHDA inspections and accreditation processes.
Teaching and Learning:
- Create and implement an engaging music curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum of England and the College's standards.
- Modify the curriculum to challenge students while assessing its effectiveness.
- Provide high-quality music for various College events, including assemblies, parents’ evenings, and significant celebrations.
- Oversee co-curricular music programs that offer a range of opportunities for students.
- Incorporate music into College events such as House competitions and collaborate with departments like art and drama.
- Present diverse opportunities for musical talent, including performances and competitions.
- Ensure fair assessment practices and maintain accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Involve parents in curricular and co-curricular music initiatives.
- Support staff development and promote professional growth within the music department.
- Stay informed about educational advancements and keep up-to-date with music technology.

- Actively promote music within the College and the wider community.
- Uphold College pride through exemplary standards of dress, behavior, and dedication.
- Respond promptly to communications and participate in school events.
- Responsibly manage and safeguard College resources.
- Contribute to the College’s publications and participate in self-evaluation processes.
- Build strong relationships with parents and maintain communication records.
- Be present on campus from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Complete any reasonable professional requests made by the Head Master or Head of Department.
