About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Early Years leader to take on the role of Head of Kindergarten at Bright Learners Private School. The chosen candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, collaborating with the Principal to enhance Early Years Education at our institution.
We are in search of a motivating leader who possesses robust leadership abilities, instructional knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication. The ideal applicant will acknowledge the potential of our students, adopt a visible learning approach, and hold the suitable demeanor to engage with a youthful and dynamic learning community.
The perfect candidate should hold recognized qualifications and educational credentials, have substantial experience in a comparable leadership role, and be familiar with the KHDA inspection process.
The responsibilities of the post holder will include supporting the school’s Vision and Mission, as well as upholding Bright Learners’ Core Values, policies, and practices.
To qualify for this position, candidates must:
- Be a proactive and effective leader with a documented history of school improvement, evidenced by data.
- Have a solid understanding of the DSIB inspection framework and American Common Core standards.
- Possess extensive experience in guiding a school through inspections, achieving notable results during the process.
- Maintain an active presence throughout the school by demonstrating and modeling teaching and learning expectations while holding teachers accountable.
- Be dedicated to promoting excellence and fostering a commitment to high standards of care and opportunities for all students.
- Exhibit successful experience in leading and managing staff, including the promotion and development of innovative learning strategies.
- Demonstrate comprehensive and confident knowledge of student achievement, curriculum, and assessment in Kindergarten.
- Show a sincere passion for play-based learning and educational approaches inspired by Reggio Emilia.
- Be adept in team and resource management, as well as strategic planning and decision-making.
- Bring a creative and enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom.
- Excel as a collaborative team player within the department and across various phases.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership experience.
