About This Role
The Grade 1 Class teacher is committed to Waldorf education and inspiring a love for learning in young children. Key qualities sought include exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments. The chosen individual will oversee a classroom with up to 30 students and must exhibit strong organizational and classroom management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Planning lessons and organizing the classroom
- Delivering main lessons
- Conducting specialized classes
- Preparing reports for students
- Participating in faculty meetings
- Acting as a liaison for parents
- Hosting parent evenings
- Engaging in all school events
- Providing substitute teaching for other classes when required
Education and Skill Requirements
- BC Teacher Certification
- Preference will be given to those with 5 or more years of experience in Waldorf Class Teaching
- A Waldorf Training Certificate
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
Employment Terms
This role is a permanent, full-time position (0.8-1.0 FTE), with a salary range of $45,150.00 to $69,669.00 per year, prorated based on FTE and experience.
