Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, situated in Big River First Nation, is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dynamic Grade 5 Teacher to become a part of their team for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Crafting and executing lesson plans that cover a diverse range of subjects
• Assessing and grading students' understanding and performance
• Engaging with students and parents to address educational matters
• Establishing a positive, inclusive, and secure learning atmosphere that promotes education
• Designing lesson plans and instructional strategies in line with school standards
• Administering assessments to evaluate students' progress and pinpoint areas needing improvement
• Fostering an engaging learning environment tailored to individual student requirements
• Developing and utilizing lesson plans and instructional materials through various activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions
• Overseeing and managing classroom behavior and activities

Requirements:
• Strong scheduling capabilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
• Effective classroom management abilities
• Capability to instruct students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum
• Experience in cross-cultural settings is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be able to present verification of prior teaching experience (if applicable)
