We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English teacher who can cultivate a positive and culturally relevant learning atmosphere for the students at Oscar Lathlin Collegiate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- A Bachelor of Education is essential
- Candidates must provide a satisfactory child abuse registry check and criminal record check prior to employment.
DUTIES:
- Guide potential graduates at OLC and mentor students towards high school completion
- Conduct a needs assessment to identify obstacles to success, creating strategies for barrier reduction and advocating for necessary support
- Build trusting relationships with students and their families
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and community resources
- Communicate student needs to relevant staff and advocate for learners, assisting with interventions to promote student wellness and academic progress
- Comply with the Teachers Code of Conduct and the OCN/OES Employee Code of Conduct
- Maintain punctuality and courtesy towards all staff while supporting student wellness and academic plans

- Mathematics: Applied Mathematics 40S, Pre-Calculus 40A, Essential Mathematics 40S
