About This Role

Taaleem is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and safety of children. We adhere to high standards of effective practices concerning child protection and remain committed to safeguarding children's welfare. We expect all staff members to share this commitment.

All candidates selected for positions must be prepared to undergo enhanced child protection screening suitable for the role, which includes comprehensive background checks, obtaining high-quality references, verifying relevant qualifications, identification, and police checks, including those from overseas. Staff members cannot commence work until these checks are completed, which typically takes about a month.

Harrow International School Dubai is in search of outstanding educators to join the founding team and contribute to our legacy.

As a member of our founding team, you will be instrumental in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where the learning of every individual is central to our daily operations. Guided by Harrow values, our staff will cultivate an environment where every student is nurtured, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

All Harrow teachers (Beaks) will provide exemplary instruction within their subject areas, creating an atmosphere where each student is supported, encouraged, and inspired to excel. They will uphold the highest academic standards and embody the unique Harrow principles of courage, honour, humility, and fellowship. In addition to classroom responsibilities, they will actively participate in the pastoral care of students within their House, contribute to a wide range of co-curricular activities, and enhance the overall life of the School. Through these contributions, they will uphold Harrow's traditions while crafting an educational experience that reflects the aspirations of Harrow Dubai.

Who Are We Seeking?

Our Beaks exemplify the highest standards of both professional and personal excellence. We aim to recruit individuals who are not only exceptional educators but also mentors and role models, inspiring students to excel academically and personally. At Harrow Dubai, teachers play a crucial role in developing confident, compassionate young individuals, fully engaging in the intellectual, pastoral, and co-curricular life of the School.

We are looking for educators who combine intellectual rigor with a genuine passion for working with young people.

For us, teaching transcends a mere job; it is a vocation, and we welcome colleagues who view their role as both a privilege and a responsibility.

We appreciate teachers who approach their work with enthusiasm, integrity, and humility, embodying the values of Courage, Honour, Humility, and Fellowship in all their interactions.

A Harrow teacher embraces challenges with resilience and creativity, adapting to a dynamic global context.

Our Beaks collaborate closely with colleagues, students, and families to cultivate an environment where every child can thrive, demonstrating success in both challenging the most capable learners and supporting those requiring additional assistance.

Outside of the classroom, they actively engage in co-curricular activities, pastoral care, and the broader school community, recognizing that a Harrow education is characterized by both breadth and depth, extending its impact beyond mere academic success.

What Unique Attributes Can You Bring?

At Harrow, we seek educators who contribute beyond just academic excellence. We value individuals who enrich our students' educational experiences through their diverse talents and passions. Whether you are a pianist, ballet instructor, rugby enthusiast, or possess another unique skill, we appreciate those who inspire creativity, nurture character, and enhance our students' capabilities beyond the classroom.

We warmly encourage applicants to share the distinctive qualities they can contribute to our esteemed and well-rounded school community. At Harrow, we value teachers who extend learning beyond traditional limits, those who inspire curiosity, foster a love of knowledge, and broaden our pupils' experiences through music, sports, the arts, or other exceptional endeavors.
