ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School in Latvia, a member of the esteemed Inspired Education Group, is on the lookout for an outstanding Whole School Spanish Teacher to commence in the 2026–2027 academic year.

This is a fantastic chance to provide exceptional Spanish instruction throughout the school, nurturing a passion for language acquisition while playing a vital role in the evolution of a vibrant and stimulating modern languages curriculum. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Deliver captivating and high-quality Spanish lessons across all key stages, ensuring students reach their linguistic and personal development goals.


Foster cultural awareness, global-mindedness, and international understanding through the instruction of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.


Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, offering timely feedback and customized support.


Contribute to the advancement and refinement of the Spanish curriculum, including cross-curricular projects and enrichment opportunities.


Encourage involvement in language competitions, cultural events, exchange programs, and extracurricular activities.


Work collaboratively with colleagues to merge language learning with broader educational objectives and international perspectives.


Leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching, assessment, and student engagement.


Engage with the broader school community by participating in events, workshops, and parent engagement initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Spanish, Modern Languages, or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).


Demonstrated experience teaching Spanish across diverse age groups, preferably within an international or IB curriculum.


Exceptional subject expertise and a passion for motivating students to become confident, articulate communicators.


A strong dedication to promoting intercultural understanding and global citizenship.


Proficiency in incorporating technology into lessons to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.


A collaborative mindset and a commitment to contributing to the school’s culture of innovation, excellence, and student well-being.
