Role Overview:
We are in search of an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join our passionate team at Horizon International School. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, engaging lessons that ignite a love for learning while encouraging all students to reach their full potential. They will bring enthusiasm and energy to the classroom, serving as a role model for students and demonstrating a dedication to continuous professional development. In our collaborative and inclusive school community, the role entails planning and delivering outstanding lessons that emphasize deep thinking, engagement, and challenges tailored to the needs of every student. The teacher will build strong partnerships with parents and colleagues to support student learning and development while contributing to the vibrant extracurricular activities that enrich the student experience.
Skills, Experience & Responsibilities:
- A genuine passion for teaching and a strong commitment to inspiring and challenging all learners
- Proficient subject knowledge to plan and deliver engaging, effective, and impactful lessons
- Expertise in designing lessons that provoke deep thinking and purposeful engagement among students
- A strong ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of an inclusive student population
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Reflective and proactive in practice, with a focus on ongoing professional growth and development
- Effective time and workload management skills, demonstrating resilience and enthusiasm in a dynamic school environment
- A commitment to upholding the school’s values and aligning with the motto: "Everyone counts, everyone contributes, everyone succeeds"
Successful candidates will have:
• A Bachelor of Education or PGCE with the relevant specialism
• Experience teaching in a UK setting or a well-regarded British Curriculum/international school
• Experience in teaching
