About This Role
Due to an increase in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Secondary Biology Teacher for an immediate start.
Al Rabeeh Academy, a modern and purpose-built institution, opened its doors in August 2017 and is part of an expanding network of schools. The Al Rabeeh name has been recognized in the city for delivering high-quality education and exceptional pastoral care since 1979. As a bilingual private school serving students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy offers the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic. We are seeking candidates who are committed team players, filled with the enthusiasm and passion to contribute to the growth of Al Rabeeh Academy, where opportunities for internal advancement may arise as the academy expands.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which caters to a significant population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal candidate will be a proficient communicator, able to foster open communication with students, staff, and parents. Applicants should lead by example and actively participate in the academy’s extracurricular activities program.
Fluency in English is essential, and candidates must hold a relevant science degree and a PGCE, along with at least 2 years of teaching experience in schools that implement the National Curriculum of England.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
• Strong subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK educational initiatives and developments
• A passion and ambition to help every student thrive in their learning
• The capability to teach KS3 and KS4, with experience delivering Science up to GCSE
• Experience teaching A levels is preferred but not mandatory
• A proven track record of enhancing student attainment and achievement
• High levels of student engagement, challenge, and progress
• The ability to support creative learning and focus on developing 21st-century learning environments and innovation skills
• Confidence in leveraging IT to motivate and enhance student learning experiences
• Experience using data from internal assessments, standardized tests, and external evaluations to monitor student progress
• Experience teaching EAL students is desirable but not essential
• Experience as a form tutor is preferred but not mandatory
