The Role:
The PE Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering lessons that promote exceptional student learning within the IB/PYP framework. The ideal candidate will exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor along with an engaging personality. The teacher will focus on equipping students with well-resourced lessons while fostering an environment that is both welcoming and challenging, ensuring every child’s right to learn. Building strong relationships with students, the school community, and parents is essential. The successful teacher will confidently deliver lessons that help enhance students’ self-esteem and confidence.
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification in Primary Physical Education.
- Valid American Teaching License, PGCE with UK Qualified Teacher Status, Bachelor of Education, or SACE.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated teaching experience is required, preferably in an IB setting.
- A professional dedication to effectively implementing an enriched IB/PYP curriculum.
- High proficiency in IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate closely with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for promoting sports through extracurricular activities and competitions.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to contributing to the overall well-being of the school.
