As part of our innovative organizational structure, we are looking for an exceptional professional to take on the role of English as an Additional Language (EAL) Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The chosen candidate will have a proven record of effective support gained in the UK or internationally, along with excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

Objectives of the Role:

The primary goal is to provide specialized support to students for whom English is an additional language, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and reaching their full potential. The EAL LSA will work collaboratively with teachers, the EAL Coordinator, and other support personnel to deliver customized interventions and assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support for Pupils:

• Offer one-on-one and small group assistance to EAL students within the classroom and through targeted interventions.
• Aid in assessing the language proficiency and learning requirements of EAL students.
• Create and apply strategies to facilitate language acquisition and academic achievement.
• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere, encouraging the integration of EAL students into the school community.
• Motivate and assist EAL students in engaging with extracurricular activities and school events.

Support for Teachers:

• Partner with classroom teachers to design and implement differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of EAL students.
• Provide teachers with insights regarding the progress and challenges faced by EAL students.
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources that are accessible for EAL students.
• Support teachers in applying effective classroom management strategies.
