We are in search of a qualified Mathematics & Science Teacher for our Middle School. Our curriculum is approached through an interdisciplinary perspective, allowing for Mathematics and Science to be explored through integrated projects and real-world applications. We seek a candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm, compassion, subject expertise, instructional excellence, and a record of curriculum innovation. Additionally, the ideal applicant should be eager to engage in the school’s co-curricular programs.
The position is set to commence on August 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Teaching Mathematics and Science
- Leading an elective course and managing a self-directed learning block
- Engaging in and leading co-curricular activities
- Advising a Student Advisor Group
- Participating in Department & Division meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
Experience and Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Education, Intermediate/Senior
- 1-3 years of teaching experience
- Qualifications in Mathematics and/or Science
- Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
- In-depth knowledge of the Ontario curriculum
- Passion for innovative and creative educational methodologies
- Commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal achievements, including the development of learning skills
- Ability to engage with and fulfill the objectives of Pickering College’s Global Leadership Program
- Effective use and integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning
Pickering College offers a competitive compensation package, featuring a Health Benefits Plan and participation in the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Salaries are based on our salary grid, ranging from $63,881 to $112,509.
