About This Role

Aldenham Prep Riyadh, an integral part of the Aldenham Education Group and closely linked with Aldenham School in the UK, which was established in 1597, welcomed its first students in September 2022. Due to ongoing growth, we are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an **English Specialist Teacher (Year 5 - Year 7)** to become a member of our talented and committed team.

Qualified and experienced candidates may have the potential to take on leadership or management roles as the group expands its network of schools.

Class Teachers are responsible for delivering the majority of the curriculum to their classes while collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning within the Year Group. This structure allows children to experience uniform opportunities and guarantees that all teachers are supported by a robust team.

Specialist instructors will teach Arabic, Islamic Studies, Music, and PE to enrich the curriculum, and each class will benefit from support provided by a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

Teaching and Learning:
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering a comprehensive and balanced curriculum
- Creating well-structured, engaging, and innovative lessons that meet the diverse needs of all children
- Facilitating high-quality learning experiences that empower children to reach their full potential
- Utilizing technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Differentiating instruction effectively to enable all students to access the curriculum and make excellent progress
- Demonstrating strong subject knowledge relevant to the age group
- Setting ambitious developmental goals for students and employing a variety of strategies, resources, and technologies to help them achieve these objectives
- Effectively utilizing Teaching Support Assistants to assist students in class
- Adhering to Aldenham's procedures for assessing, recording, and reporting on children's achievements, using this data to inform future learning and communicate progress in report writing
- Offering students regular written and verbal feedback while encouraging reflection and response
- Fully engaging in co-curricular and activity programs

Person Specification:
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree, preferably from a UK University
- UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status
- At least two years of relevant teaching experience
- Proficient knowledge of the National Curriculum of England
- A strong academic background and experience that earns the respect of pupils, parents, colleagues, and the wider community
- A dedication to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students
- Understanding of recent educational developments and best practices

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with the expectations of a UK independent school environment
- Experience working with children who speak English as an Additional Language
- Competency in utilizing technology to support education
