About This Role

Aldenham Prep Riyadh is a member of the Aldenham Education Group, closely associated with Aldenham School in the UK, which dates back to 1597. The school welcomed its first students in September 2022, and due to ongoing growth, we are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an **English Specialist Teacher (Year 5 - Year 7)** to become part of our skilled and dedicated team.

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the majority of the curriculum to your class while collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning across the Year Group. This teamwork ensures that all students are provided with equal opportunities, and every teacher feels supported within a strong network.

Specialist teachers will instruct Arabic, Islamic studies, Music, and PE to enrich the curriculum. Each class will also benefit from the assistance of a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

Teaching and Learning:
You will be expected to:

- Effectively utilize Teaching Support Assistants in class.
- Adhere to Aldenham procedures for assessing, recording, and reporting on children's achievements, using this data to inform future learning and communicate progress in reports.
- Provide students with regular written and oral feedback, encouraging them to reflect on and respond to it.
- Fully engage in co-curricular and activity programs.

Person Specification:
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree, preferably from a UK University.
- UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status.
- A minimum of two years' relevant teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum of England.
- A strong academic background, stature, and experience that command respect from pupils, parents, colleagues, and the wider community.
- A commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students.
- Knowledge of recent educational developments and best practices.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
- An understanding of the expectations of a UK independent school environment.
- Experience working with children who have English as an Additional Language.
- Proficiency in using technology to support education.
