Brandon School Division is inviting applications from passionate individuals interested in joining our team as Uncertified Substitute Teachers for the 2026/27 academic year. Candidates should demonstrate a talent for engaging with children and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. A readiness to work collaboratively within a team environment as well as independently with minimal oversight while maintaining a professional demeanor is crucial. Preference will be given to individuals who have a degree and/or diploma from an accredited institution. We particularly encourage those with experience in supporting children with diverse needs, coaching, providing childcare, or engaging in youth leadership roles to apply.

Please be aware of the following key information: Successful candidates will be required to attend a three-day unpaid training session during the summer months. Completing this training is a prerequisite for being eligible to work as an uncertified substitute teacher. Since you will not possess a teaching certification, the Brandon School Division will assist you in applying for a Limited Teaching Permit. Further details will be provided as they become available.
