What will this role involve?
- Collaborate with fellow Senior Leadership Team members to provide strategic, management, and operational direction for the school.
- Share the responsibility with other SLT members for establishing, maintaining, monitoring, and promoting standards throughout the school.
- Spearhead the teaching and learning strategy across the school, aligned with school improvement priorities, to deliver an exceptional learning experience for all students.
- Strategically oversee a quality assurance program that is structured, impactful, and propels school improvement.
- Develop and implement a professional development program in partnership with middle leaders to integrate evidence-based pedagogy across all subjects.
- Lead a reading initiative that ensures reading is prioritized across all subject areas, fostering a passion for reading among students.
- Contribute to the school's self-evaluation cycle and quality assurance processes, particularly in managed subjects and year teams.
What qualifications and experience are required?
- A seasoned leader with diverse educational experiences across various settings.
- A proven history of advancing whole school improvement in teaching and learning.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing school performance data to guide strategic decisions.
- A comprehensive understanding of effective learning processes for students.
- A commitment to exemplary teaching and learning practices that yield successful outcomes.
- Documented evidence of excellent results in your own teaching.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a solid grasp of current educational developments.
- Capability to design, lead, and deliver continuing professional development (CPD).
- A strong understanding of subject-specific pedagogical research.
