We are currently seeking a dedicated Primary Class Teacher (English) to join our wonderful team.

About the Role:
In this position, you will teach within our bilingual 50–50 program, where students alternate weekly between an English-speaking and a German-speaking class teacher. You will design engaging and meaningful learning experiences across the primary curriculum, utilizing the Swiss Lehrplan 21 and international frameworks. Collaborating closely with your German-speaking partner teacher, you will maintain continuity in routines, vocabulary, expectations, and subject content, ensuring that students benefit from a cohesive bilingual learning experience. Your responsibilities will include planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality lessons, supporting children's wellbeing, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, collaboration, and effective communication. Additionally, you will assess student learning, maintain regular communication with parents, and actively participate in school life through meetings, reporting cycles, events, and supervision duties.

This is a permanent, part-time (50%) position.

Who We Are Looking For:
You will be an excellent candidate for this role if you:

• Possess native or near-native English proficiency and feel confident teaching English language learners.
• Communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Plan creatively and adapt lessons to accommodate various learning needs and language levels.
• Enjoy collaborating with a German-speaking partner teacher within a bilingual 50–50 model.
• Employ diverse teaching strategies to create engaging, interactive, and accessible learning experiences.
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, wellbeing, and respectful behavior.
• Establish trusting relationships with students and families, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
• Thoughtfully assess learning and use insights to guide individualized next steps for each child.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for working in a multicultural, bilingual school community.
• Have experience teaching primary-aged children, ideally in an international or bilingual context.
• Hold a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s in Primary Education, QTS/PGCE, or equivalent).
