Located in the heart of Phuket Island, HeadStart achieved 'International School' status in 2010 and is fully accredited by The Education Development Trust. Our recent inspection resulted in the award of the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM), with evaluators recognizing us as a 'Good School with Outstanding Features.'

Our curriculum follows the national curriculum of England, offering Cambridge & Pearson qualifications at the secondary level, including IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTECs.

Our main campus at Chaofah serves 1000 students and is oversubscribed in most year groups. In August 2028, we will enhance our Upper School site and offerings to establish 'HeadStart College' as the leading educational institution in Southern Thailand.

In August 2023, we inaugurated a new campus in the northern part of the island, Cherngtalay. Initially a one-form Foundation and Primary school, our Cherngtalay Campus has grown to accommodate a three-form entry for Foundation, Primary, and Secondary School (KS3 only), catering to up to 500 students.

Physics Teacher

With the expansion of our Upper School facilities and programs for Sixth Form and Key Stage 4, we seek a dynamic and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join our team starting in August 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching across the secondary age spectrum, including A Level Physics. In addition to A-Level and IGCSE Physics, this role involves teaching Key Stage 3 Science as part of the departmental curriculum (Years 7–9), covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

We are looking for an inspiring educator who can make the subject engaging and relatable. Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level syllabus is a plus.

We value a dedicated team player who brings enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for teaching that ignites a love of learning in students. A good sense of humor and a strong work ethic are crucial attributes.

Requirements / Application Information

Essential Qualifications:

· Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and experience teaching students at all educational phases

· Solid understanding of IGCSE & A Level Physics assessment criteria

· Documented success in teaching

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

· A recognized teaching qualification: BEd.; PGCE; iPGCE or equivalent

· Fluent in English

Desirable Qualifications (not mandatory):

· Previous experience in an International School setting

· Experience teaching students for whom English is an Additional Language.
