About This Role

We are excited to invite applications for the exceptional position of Head of Art, set to commence in September 2026. This is a remarkable opportunity for motivated educators to advance their careers within a globally recognized institution at a prestigious international school in Dubai. Established in 2014, GEMS FirstPoint School is a Premium British Curriculum institution nestled in the vibrant community of The Villa, Dubai. The school currently serves approximately 2,000 students from Nursery (age 2) through Year 13, with ambitious plans for future growth.

GEMS FirstPoint School takes pride in being an inclusive and values-centered community, with a student body representing over 90 different nationalities. Our campus features cutting-edge facilities, including a dedicated center for sports and performing arts, swimming pools, a theater, a sports hall, as well as specialized spaces for dance, drama, and music. Additionally, we offer fully equipped science laboratories, computer suites, a food technology kitchen, textiles and design suite, and Design Technology workshops to enhance the learning experience.

Maintain regular communication with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to facilitate student development.


Engage in ongoing professional development and performance evaluations.

Candidate Profile


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art or a related field.


Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).


Demonstrated strong classroom practice with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students.


Dedication to inclusive education and personalized learning approaches.


Eagerness to contribute to the broader school community and foster a culture of professional learning.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
