Salary Range: £41,147 - £58,812 or £62,077 - £65,990 plus SEN Allowance of £2,745 per annum and Management Allowance Level 1 of £3,907 per annum
Working Arrangements: Term Time
About the Role:
The States of Guernsey is seeking a Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired to become part of the Sensory Support Services team.
The individual in this position will be responsible for fostering inclusive practices, ensuring that students with visual impairments have equitable access to education in alignment with the Education Strategy and ALN Code of Practice. The successful candidate will exhibit adaptability and professional insight while working in a small-island environment, collaborating effectively with families, students, and local systems, as well as engaging with networks in the third sector.
This opportunity includes a competitive salary and participation in a pension scheme. For applicants who may need to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a relocation package is available to assist with moving expenses. The package offers various options based on individual circumstances.

Candidates from outside the Island will be granted an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit (additional details below). This permit also allows for immediate family members to accompany the candidate and work in any sector on the Island.
