About This Role

Welcome to the British School of Monaco, a vibrant new institution at the heart of the Monaco community.

The Role
We are in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Secondary Mathematics IGCSE and A-Level educator to join our team starting January 2026.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics curriculum.
We seek individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the ability to motivate their students. Applicants should be well-versed in contemporary research regarding effective teaching practices and be capable of collaborating with colleagues to share resources and ideas. Clear communication with students and their parents is essential. The successful candidate will embody the values of the British School of Monaco, focusing on tailored learning pathways for each student, employing strategies to assess their entry levels, and identifying necessary actions for academic growth. Proficiency in technology to enhance organizational and pedagogical practices is also required.

To excel as a class teacher, you must showcase patience, passion, and strong analytical abilities. Exceptional candidates will be skilled at recognizing students’ strengths and weaknesses and will adopt an innovative teaching approach.

Responsibilities of a teacher at the British School of Monaco include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and delivering well-structured, academically stimulating, and innovative lessons;
- Creating an engaging learning environment by utilizing diverse styles and approaches to meet individual learning needs;
- Implementing a range of effective teaching strategies to successfully deliver the British School of Monaco Mathematics Curriculum;
- Ensuring classrooms are environments where technology is actively and seamlessly integrated to support effective learning;
- Communicating academic progress to parents and maintaining appropriate contact as needed;
- Building supportive learning relationships with students to foster their confidence and development;
- Allocating adequate time for lesson planning and collaborating with fellow teachers as part of teaching teams;
- Contributing to a culture of collaborative teaching and learning, where educators share knowledge and investigate effective pedagogical practices;
- Participating in ongoing professional development relevant to their subject area, as well as broader educational discussions;
- Engaging students in various extracurricular activities, including involvement in the British School of Monaco enrichment program.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant educational field is required.
Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
A Master’s degree in a related area is preferred.

Experience
A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in the UK or an international British curriculum school is required.

Compensation
