The Role
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced EYFS Coordinator to oversee our Early Years Foundation Stage program. The ideal candidate will guarantee that our youngest learners receive a high-quality educational foundation through a curriculum that is engaging, inclusive, and prepared for inspection.
Key Responsibilities
• Spearhead the strategic development and execution of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring it meets statutory requirements and promotes progression.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to Early Years teachers, exemplifying best practices and encouraging professional development.
• Supervise planning, assessment, and moderation processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy within the EYFS team.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that caters to all learners, including those with EAL and SEND needs.
• Involve parents and caregivers in their child’s educational experience through effective communication and collaboration.
• Assess and evaluate the provision, leveraging data to enhance performance and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Participate in whole-school improvement initiatives, ensuring that EYFS priorities align with broader school objectives.
Essential Skills & Attributes
• In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide Early Years educators.
• Strong commitment to creating inclusive, child-centered learning environments.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both staff and parents.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and preparation for inspections.
• A passion for nurturing curiosity, independence, and resilience in young learners.
• Background in a British international school environment.
• Understanding of BSO inspection standards.
• Creative contribution to school initiatives and events is highly valued.
