Drama Teacher
About This Role
The International School of Monaco is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join the Secondary School team. The successful applicant will be tasked with teaching IB MYP Drama and DP Theatre. There is potential for advancement to the Head of Department position for the right individual. Having the capability to teach an additional subject within the Arts would be beneficial.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized university
• Acknowledged teaching status
• At least 3 years of experience working in educational settings
• Proven experience in teaching IBDP Theatre
• Experience in directing plays, musicals, and other performances
• A commitment to involvement in extra-curricular rehearsals and performances
• Experience in teaching Drama within the MYP curriculum is a plus
• Skills in staging and technology are advantageous
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A strong passion for Drama and English with a demonstrated history of achieving positive outcomes for students
• Experience teaching Drama at a high level, with English teaching at IGCSE being advantageous but not mandatory
• A dedication to Drama beyond the classroom and the ability to collaborate in developing an exceptional extracurricular theatre program
• An interest in theatre design and technical elements of production (advantageous but not essential)
• A commitment to the values and learning principles of ISM
• Exemplary classroom practice along with well-honed subject knowledge
• The capacity to collaborate effectively and contribute to the growth of an outstanding school
• A solid understanding of emotional intelligence
• Exceptional communication skills
• Experience in promoting and demonstrating growth mindset principles
• A genuine interest in personal development
