About This Role
Job Role
To assist in the academic, social, emotional, and career growth of students across all stages (EYFS–KS5), while fostering wellbeing and a positive mental health culture within the school community.
Job Responsibilities
•
Offer individual and group counseling aimed at enhancing students’ emotional and social health.
•
Design and execute a comprehensive guidance and wellbeing program for the entire school.
•
Aid students with their academic planning and the establishment of goals.
•
Spearhead career guidance efforts, including pathways to universities and careers, where applicable.
•
Collaborate closely with senior leadership, educators, and parents to address student requirements.
•
Recognize and assist students who are experiencing safeguarding or wellbeing issues in accordance with UAE regulations.
•
Keep precise and confidential records for each student.
•
Facilitate workshops focused on wellbeing, resilience, study techniques, and personal growth.
•
Play a role in safeguarding and child protection initiatives.
Job Requirements
•
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a relevant discipline.
•
Appropriate counselling certification or licensure.
•
Thorough knowledge of child protection and safeguarding protocols.
•
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
•
Capacity to work compassionately within a diverse cultural setting.
•
Experience as a Careers Counsellor at the Secondary school level is preferred.
