About This Role

Secondary Inclusion Teacher

Kings’ School Al Barsha is on the lookout for a Secondary Inclusion Teacher to become part of our expanding Inclusion Team starting August 2026. Our distinguished Inclusion department anticipates that the selected individual will play a vital role in furthering the growth and effectiveness of our team.

The department is equipped with excellent resources and comprises a diverse team of experts, including a Head of Inclusion, dyslexia specialists, a speech and language therapist, an autism team, as well as a group of specialized learning support teachers and assistants. This role offers a fantastic chance for a motivated, creative, and inspiring educator to join a successful, compassionate, and supportive team.

Requirements and Experience:

Essential


· A Bachelor’s degree in education or a related teaching subject along with a SEND Qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in SEND Education or Inclusion.

· Possession of a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, complemented by at least 3 years of teaching experience.

· Experience in teaching English at the GCSE level and knowledge of Dyslexia Support (preferred but not essential).

· Familiarity with the UK Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs.

· Understanding of intervention strategies applicable to a variety of learning needs.

· A solid grasp of literacy, numeracy, communication, and language acquisition development is advantageous.

· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage with parents, students, and colleagues, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.

· A collaborative spirit with strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and sensitivity.

· A commitment to the safeguarding, well-being, and pastoral care of all students entrusted to their care.

· Willingness to contribute to the broader school community.

· Ability to adapt swiftly to Kings’ fast-paced, international, multicultural, and demanding setting (experience with overseas work or international students is beneficial but not required).

· An understanding of the Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework (2017), or a readiness to learn it.
