SECONDARY PE TEACHER
Location: NACIS Shanghai
NACIS Shanghai is on the lookout for a Secondary PE Teacher to lead outstanding teaching and learning in the area of Secondary PE. THE SCHOOL
Established in September 2016, NACIS Shanghai provides a stimulating, challenging, and rewarding educational experience for students aged 6 to 18. Our progressive and internationally oriented school community offers a unique bilingual, blended learning program that culminates in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Situated in Shanghai's Minhang District, our school boasts exceptional facilities that enhance our innovative teaching approach.
Our faculty comprises individuals from 10 different countries, with a notable representation from China, the UK, Ireland, and North America.
The role:
We are seeking a qualified Teacher of Secondary PE to focus on the following key areas:
1) Demonstrating comprehensive curriculum knowledge while being adaptable to teach various aspects across different age groups within the PE department.
2) Ensuring that planning, preparation, teaching, assessment, and reporting align with student needs and the school's expectations.
3) Promoting high standards for our students by designing learning activities that correspond with our school’s Secondary curriculum, fostering a culture of limitless achievement.
4) Creating a respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages learning through inquiry and discussion.
5) Contributing actively to the broader development and growth of the school.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
1) Qualified Teacher status with at least three to four years of teaching experience in Secondary PE.
2) A deep understanding of effective teaching and learning theories, capable of addressing the individual needs of all students through organized classroom management, differentiation, and tailored learning strategies.
3) A PGCE/QTS or a nationally recognized teaching license.
4) A degree in Physical Education is preferred.
5) A collaborative mindset and flexibility.

Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences will help you forge strong relationships with both parents and students. You will adapt swiftly to our dynamic international setting and meet visa-related requirements for China, including holding a bachelor's degree, a clean criminal background check, and a minimum of 24 months of teaching experience.
